Re: Movie file meta data (TAG)
Hello there sir, welcome to the forum and thanks for your kind words about my website. It's always nice to hear from someone who has managed to read more than a few pages of it without falling asleep! I think the NTV550 is a cracking streamer. It's not perfect but IMHO is definitely up there w...

Re: MythTV installation
Oh dear. I'm sorry to hear that freddy_boy. Very sorry indeed. I feel we've let you down :-( I've been reading about lots of bugs with MythTV on Ubuntu 10.10. Race conditions and flaky tuner drivers and the like. Generally just a nightmare. Is that what version you were using? I gave up on 10.10 and...

Re: Ubuntu/VNC Issue
Hi gunplt, Thanks for your kind words. If you've been using linux variants for a few years then you could probably teach me a thing or two ;) 10.10 is quite buggy so you might want to consider using 10.04 before you get too far down the road with your media server. However, you should still be able ...

Re: MythTV installation
Ah, ok. Well, sounds like you don't have just the one problem then!
Let's check your tuner is working properly. Download and install TVTuner and see whether you can watch TV. If you can then we have one less issue to solve

Re: MythTV installation
Does it? It looks better to me
Have you linked your tuner and video sources together? Step 4 on the MythTV Guide.
Did you try watching live-tv after you restarted the mthtv backend?
