Re: HOME NETWORK FOR A NEW BUILD
I dont understand the need for a patch panel. Can we not connect the standard BT wireless router to a gigabit network switch to give more connnections and then go direct from here to the RJ45 faceplates in each room? Most people don't bother with one. They're something of a convenience and probably...

Re: HOME NETWORK FOR A NEW BUILD
OK, to use a smart TV you just need regular cat5e/6. So, a single cat5e/6 cable from your understair cupboard to an rj45 faceplate in each location. As I've mentioned in that guide I'd run more than one cable to each location to add flexibility. For sky to one TV you use one of the quadplexes you me...

Re: HELP: Setting Up email on a ubuntu Server style
Your point about using a company address running through gmail but it not being a @gmail.com may well be valid. Have you as a test tried using a regular gmail account to see if it works? At least then you'll be able to eliminate that as being an issue.
But other than that your config file looks fine.

Re: Renaming Seeding Media for Kodi scrapers
Hi Geoff,
Sorry it's not an answer to your question but I use Media Center Master for tagging all my content. I find it much easier to configure and tweak than the Kodi scrapers. I've always found them to be somewhat of a mystery.
Ian.

Hi,
This is likely a typo in your ssmtp.conf file somewhere. Alternatively it could be you're using the wrong port. Feel free to post your config files for us to take a look (replacing personal info with random chars of course)

Re: Server issue when booting up
Only if it keeps forgetting the BIOS changes you've made. Another clue will be your computer keeps forgetting what day/time it is.

Re: Server issue when booting up
Hi and welcome to the forums. I don't have a Dell in front of me so cannot walk you through the process step by step but if you hit F2 when you get that message it should take you into the BIOS. On the left hand side? there is the menu with lots of options. You have two issues you need to resolve: i...
