Re: Drop-Down Menus on Web Site

Hi there,

I've made some changes to the menu system so hopefully they now work as they should. Please let me know if you disagree!

Re: Drop-Down Menus on Web Site

Thanks, I'll take a look at that. I recently changed them to be "mobile friendly". Clearly they're no longer desktop friendly!

Re: new Ubuntu server 14.04 setup network issue

Yes that is the case, when you setup KVM on ubuntu (which what installing the "Virtual Machine Host " does ) it creates the bridge by default,to be used for vm NAT setup. It does but it calls it br0 doesn't it? I was referring to when you have a host machine and install Ubuntu as a guest ...

Re: new Ubuntu server 14.04 setup network issue

I've only seen that interface when I'd installed Ubuntu as a virtual machine.
Sorry I can't be of any help but it's out of my league.

Re: new Ubuntu server 14.04 setup network issue

Hmm, well that's relevant. I've zero experience with multiple NICs. You'd think it'd work out of the box, wouldn't you. Maybe google will throw up some answers?

Re: new Ubuntu server 14.04 setup network issue

Hi there,

I've never had that issue before despite selecting Virtual Machine Host plenty of times.

I suspect your issue is related to something else so on that basis I'd reinstall from scratch and not select that option to remove it from the equation.

Re: Network interfaces

Hi, I would change the 256 in address 192.168.1.256 to be a lower number. So, something like 250 or 251. You should NOT disable DHCP on your router as it'll stop pretty much everything else being able to connect to your network. Ideally you should change the DHCP RANGE of your router to be less than...

Re: Just perfect...

Thanks Dan. The site started off as merely a place that I could refer to myself when I needed to rebuild my server from scratch. Having followed numerous guides out there and ended up down dead-ends I was rebuilding it quite often. Now when I need to do it I just highlight each of the commands from ...
