on linux it says:
l

xxx@xxxxx:~$ ping www.havetheknowhow.com

64 bytes from gator1434.hostgator.com (184.172.176.49): icmp_seq=1 ttl=52 time=143 ms
64 bytes from gator1434.hostgator.com (184.172.176.49): icmp_seq=2 ttl=52 time=138 ms
64 bytes from gator1434.hostgator.com (184.172.176.49): icmp_seq=3 ttl=52 time=138 ms
^C
--- havetheknowhow.com ping statistics ---
3 packets transmitted, 3 received, 0% packet loss, time 2002ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 138.828/140.581/143.982/2.443 ms

Is that "gator1434.hostgator.com" correct?
I forgot the command to show the routing through the dns servers.

Very helpful w00die. Thank you.

Got back in touch with my provider and luckily they could replicate the issue (I couldn't from my end). They think they've spotted and issue and fixed it. Please let me know if it's fixed for you.

Thanks for you help and patience.

Thank you sir. The change has not yet replicated through all the DNS servers globally but finger's crossed the problem will not return

Back home again and God is calling me again! Very worrying as I'm not in the slightest religious. Maybe it's a sign! Linux is hell for me at the moment lol.

I agree, maybe it's a sign!

Have you tried running an

Code: Select all

ipconfig /flushdns
in a Command Prompt? Or tried hitting Ctrl-F5 in your browser?
