logitechmediaserver for 14.04lts; only unstable testing work

as of today july 27 2014 - i.e. as of the most recent updates to the logitech media server software for debian, only the unstable testing version works:
deb http://debian.slimdevices.com unstable main
yes, they borked the main release and stable testing so now only this one works; trust me, i tried them all...... unstable testing is the only one that works with ubuntu media server 14.04 lts; unless it's just me they hate; entirely possible, but i doubt it;
knew I should have disabled the auto update for logitechmediaserver after initial install worked; now will disable (# out) the above repository in sources list until they get themselves organized.......
