SMB problem: NT_STATUS_CONNECTION_INVALID

Post by yoram »

Hi
I've installed 'BackupPc' on my ubuntu 10.10 server. This backup software scans networked computers (win/linux)
and perform scheduled backups to the server's storage.
Files from the windows machines are accessed through windows sharing on the windows pc and samba on the linux server
I have configured backuppc to backup my 4 windows pc's and it works fine for most of the files
On the error log I see files and directories that are not backed up because "NT_STATUS_CONNECTION_INVALID" (it happened on all PCs)
If it's a file the error is "NT_STATUS_CONNECTION_INVALID opening remote file \My Documents\My Pictures\DSC04064.JPG (\My Documents\My Pictures\)"
and if directory the error is "NT_STATUS_CONNECTION_INVALID listing \My Documents\My Pictures\UK trip 2011\*"

From what I searched the problem is related to the SAMBA server but I could not configure how to fix it.
It seems randomly skipping files/directories

Appreciate your help

Yoram
