snapraid config.file error

Postby photobuff » June 11th, 2016, 7:07 pm

Getting the following error message. Using snapraid v10

Invalid command ' #>> ? ' '/etc/snapraid.conf' at line 1 (error message).

All previous content and parity files were deleted.
This is a fresh install of v10 .
Data disks are 3TB and 2TB drives.
Tried with 2 4TB parity drives ,made no difference.
OS is Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
Config file was made by un-commenting 'config.sample file.'

Below is my config file which seems ok

# 3TB parity drive
parity /media/WDx0597/snapraid.parity

# 4TB parity drive
2-parity /media/WDR052H/snapraid.2-parity

content /var/snapraid/content

content /media/WD85635/content
content /media/WD88653/content
content /media/WD73541/content

Line 1 is this: "# 3TB parity drive" which seems fine. Maybe try removing that line and see what happens? No idea why it's not happy about it given it's actually just a comment.

Was there ever a fix for this?
