Read Write Problem

Post by Silvertop »

Hello,
Hoping someone can help. I have had to rebuild my server and have it up and running to the stage of it being visible on our Win7 network and accessible to all; except that I am unable to write to any drive on the server. Message received "You need permission to perform this action"

I have checked all settings under Samba and for every drive and folder the checks for "Available" Browseable" and "Writeable" are all marked as they should.

Maybe I should be looking at a Windows7 setting? or should I continue looking under Linux? I have no idea at this stage so please help
John
