Copy protection?

Post by LarryJB »

I am a real newbie to all of this, so be gentle.
There are several threads about DVD and BluRay ripping, but nowhere in them does anyone mention how to deal with copy protection. In my very limited experience with ripping DVDs every disk I have tried to rip was copy protected and did not work. Is there something I am missing? or am I just using the wrong ripping software?

Hi Larry,

Seems it's just me and you here :?

I use the free version of DVDFab. Never had a disc it wouldn't rip and never had a rip that wouldn't play. I rip 1:1 to ISO (both DVD and blu-ray). Other people swear by AnyDVD but I've never used it myself.

Ian.
