A single drive, partitioned...

Dear all,

So, my new media server is all working perfectly... but...

When I did the Linux (14.04) install, I partitioned my 2TB hard drive (one of those cached ((bit of SSD)) super fast ones) with a 500GB Linux partition, leaving 1.5TB less all the space that is used by various bits and bobs) for me to use. I used the instructions on the this site for a fresh install... I then did the TBS drivers (how can this be so easy to follow here, and so hard to follow on the TBS web site?), Tvheadend, Gnome desktop, VNC - and it all worked perfectly first time (I also added the Samba and SSH options on the Linux install as recommended).

My question is - how do I alter Tvheadend to use the 1.5Tb space for recordings? Do I need to format the 1.5TB partition? I Googled this but back came double dutch...

Cheers in advance...

Dan

Hi,

Follow the guide on my site for partitioning the remaining 1.5TB of space and then set the recording path using the TVHeadend GUI:

No need to apologise.

It's easy once you've struggled through it a few times! ;)
