Replacement for Squeezebox Boom: PolyVection DAC32

Post by gmachine24 »

My Squeezebox is dying - "farting bass" and all that. Considering replacements. Anyone try this?

Thanks.

I ordered one of these. Should arrive next week. Set-up looks fairly easy. I'd be happy to answer any questions after I get the thing going.

I got my DAC32 this week. After a little wrangling (seems I had to update my router's firmware and then reset it to factory settings i.e. start again) ISP connection again works as does LMS and the DAC32. I don't have great powered speakers - I wanted to make certain I could get the thing running before investing. But, all seems OK. The cost, including delivery to the states. was about $97US.

I'll update after connecting to better powered speakers or even a receiver and speakers.
