End of an era!!

The time has come to decommission my server for several reasons:

1. Power usage.
2. Not really used to it's full potential.
3. I need the hardware for a W7/8 desktop build for myself.

1&2 come under the same category, if my server was used more then power usage wouldn't be as big an issue.
3 speaks for itself really.

I have a NAS that will be put back into action to store all my files with a eSATA drive hanging off it to back up to.

I did hope to use my Raspberry Pi as a low powered torrent server, but alas this is not to be, the Pi will run Transmission happily enough, but I do not like Transmission at all!!, Deluge keeps crashing on the Pi, so I have installed 10.04 server on a Dell D600 laptop as a temporary torrent server, lower power usage than my server.

Ian's guide once again proving useful

The Pi will put to use as a Raspbian box for mucking about with, playing Quake 3 on a Pi is good fun.
