I love Logitech Media Server and I love MusicIP. I would not have spent this much time on many other programs. But, to show you how convoluted the *fix* is for getting MusicIP to work properly on recent Ubuntu releases I refer people here:

The problem here - after further review - is that Logitech Media Server is being maintained which means it's compatible with systemd.
MusicIP is not.
There are ways to fix this - I am working on a solution. But it's tricky (for me). I'll post if I get a good result which I can replicate.
